Q. I need to decorate my room and i know exactly how i want it but dont know where to get cheap stuff. my budget is 300 dollars i dont need a bed or a side table . I want my bedroom to be zebra print and hot pink , i want to have some seating for it too but like classy modern . my mother bought me a bedroom set when i was living with her. i said i could deal with the set she had but she wanted me to have something so that when i get my own apartment i can have it for life. i decided to move out of my mother house some time ago. she let me borrow a tv that she would like back. i have told her the bedset for the tv and she will not give me the bedset because she claims she paid for it therefore it is hers. i have watched some judge shows and they say if its a gift its mine is that correct. she claims she will call the police what will they say to her?

.....Dear Sara O, unless you've got some written proof that that bedroom set is yours or have a witness who heard her say that it was a gift to you then you really don't have a leg to stand on from a legal standpoint. I've watched enough of those legal shows as well. She bought it. It's in her name. :-)
