It is Me!
My room is a light tan, and the wood furniture finish is dark...espresso-ish. The trim around the room is white, and the doors are white. The reason I'm asking this is because I had the one I wanted picked out....but now it's out of stock.
The one I wanted...

It doesn't matter if it's a comforter, duvet, "bedspread," down comforter, etc. (however, I'm not into quilts.) I also am looking for something not toooo old-fashioned...more of a contemporary look. Price range doesn't really matter.
ok i meant 10. sorry.
ohh..anddddd..BB&B is the manufacturer of that particular duvet...it's part of their own collection..forgot to make that clear

A doona cover like this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Oriental-Queen-EMBROIDERED-Quilt-Doona-Cover-Set-NEW_W0QQitemZ270365946348QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Bedding?hash=item270365946348&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318#ebayphotohosting
and I thought maybe dark brown and cream colors with a little bit of gold?
I can't paint the walls and my room is quite small!
Thanks!!
Answer
That duvet cover and bed set is absolutely gorgeous! Absolutely perfect for an oriental theme and I would love to know where you found it!
Since you can not paint your walls, consider window coverings and floor coverings to incorporate the oriental theme. For instance: bamboo window shades are very inexpensive and invoke that oriental feel and are available in many stains (light to dark stains, I would suggest a dark stain if your walls are white). You can always add fabric panels if you love fabric for a lush feel. You don't have to cover the entire window(s) with fabric, just one panel on each side of the window for a lush feel.
Next, look to your floor. Don't know if you have carpet, wood, tile, but there are gorgeous area rugs available with oriental themes and since your room is small, consider a 3 x 5 oriental rug with a central medallion.
A little throw at the end of your bed in soft gold and/or throw pillows in soft gold would be stunning. Remember: oriental style is simple with textural textiles.
