any ideas to decorate a bedroom for a poor college student?

denise

i am in an apartment and am looking for ways to decorate. i have some fabric, christmas lights (about 4 strands) a cork board, and 4 posters but nothing really matches. i want it to be cute, i am also a little crazy and random. i cant paint or anything so i figured fabric was a good alternative.

Answer
1. set a theme:
Such as tropical, retro...etc.

2. What do you need?

3. Set a budget, how much do you think
you will and how much you need?

4. Look around everywhere:
Target, Walmart, MALL!!, discount stores, ebay, any store you come across.

5. position everything, make a blueprint.
:)

Hope everything works out, spend wisley and have some orginization and some creativity!

Posters, hang them somewhere where they are neccessary....such as your room or cork board??

Also get some nice curtains from Walmart or JC penny..also, get a carpet...everything you need:
towels
Curtains (also shower)
furniture (Of course)
Pictures
A THEME
Accessories.

Hope I helped!

decorating kids bedroom & bathroom?

Melissa F

My boyfriend and I don't have his kids stay with us very often so when they do all 4 of them stay in the same bedroom. We haev two sets of bunk beds. The room isn't that big but I would like to set it up so that it is more appealing & more useful to the kids. (2 boys and 2 girls ages 5-10). The room is white.
Bathroom attached is yellow and I have started a fish theme.
Anyone got any advice as to how to make this work for the kids?

Answer
Don't go crazy! The day will come when they are not little anymore, and you don't want major remodeling. In the bathroom, get a shower curtain with fish on it, or a beach scene. You could find a toilet seat with a similar theme. Also a little waste basket, even a clothes hamper to match. These would not cost a fortune, and would be easy to replace as people age. If you have a window, you could get some fish or ocean curtains too. Maybe even a few no slip stick ons of fish in the tub, that could eventually be removed. If you got everything, I think you would still be under $200. 00. Try a place like Bed, bath, and beyond. They have a lot of this stuff, plus they always have discount coupons floating around. You could paint the bedroom an aqua color. Again you could get some fish or beach sheets, and curtains. Again you are not talking about a fortune. Maybe you could find a nice poster or print for the wall. Good Luck!
