Need help on Bedroom Set...bedding,furniture,etc?

I just moved into a new bedroom and need help decorating it. Nothing too complex but would like to know what color bedding, small furniture, computer desk, drawer to get.

My room has one burgandy colored wall and the rest of the 3 walls around the room are beige. The floor is made out of tan tiles.

I would like black,grey,charcoal like colors but from what i've heard its not going to look good at all and I heard colors like gold which I DONT want would go with it. Any ideas which colors would go with the burgandy and beige painted room?

I'm moving soon, & my plan is to get rid of everything in my bedroom & starting out clean. I am getting all new furniture for my bedroom, & I need ideas. Any websites to help? Nothing too expensive either. :c
Also, the only website I've actually checked out was Ikea & nothing really caught my eye. & If you know another website that has accessories for bedrooms (sheets, curtains, etc.) than suggest those one too. Thanks!

All these places sell bedroom suites, but you don't give any indication of your budget or what style you like at all, so can't help with the curtains, sheets etc, but hopefully you'll see something you like on these furniture sites..

Best furniture companies - bedroom sets?

Trying to buy a high quality bedroom set. Many choices out there. Does anyone have ideas of the best manufacturers to target?

Planning to spend in the $5000-8500 range. Hopefully on the lower end of that. Is that reasonable for a king bed, 2 nightstands, dresser, and chest?

price range on bedroom sets?

i have a bedroom set i would like to sell. 9 drawer chest, dresser w/ mirror, desk/chair, bed, bookcase and end table. i have no idea how to price it. anybody have a price range in mind?

Answer
The value depends on the quality of construction, the condition, the style and age. Where do you plan to sell it? A consignment store will take half of what they can sell it for. The price to the buyer will be less on Craigslist, but you won't have any cost to sell it.

The used furniture buyer will be looking to spend considerably less than if they bought new on sale.

Right, so for my birthday I'm getting my bedroom redecorated. And I need to know your opinion on whether it sounds good or not, or what would be better.
My room is quite small, the smallest room in the house not including the bathrooms. It can only fit in a certain amount of furniture.

The colour I have chosen for the furniture to be is white, to go with the carpet.

It would be good to find another one to fit the same needs. Also, I have two windows which lets in quite a lot of light during the day.

What do you think? Yes? No? What would you change? Can you find anything better? - Just to mention it can't be ridiculously overpriced, at least under Â£100, Â£150 at most. I have to pay for most of this and I don't want it taking years to payback.

Love the blue for the walls, but it is a strong colour, and in a small room it will make your room seem smaller and darker, BUT, I still love it, and as you have a lot of white and 2 windows it won't be that biga problem, (I'm in Australia though, it may be different there light wise?) but just in case, maybe you could paint just one wall first, the one either the bed would be against or opposite as a feature wall, see if you like it, if not, just keep on painting!

You seem to lean towards simple lines (nothing ornate or frilly) so I've found a few pics of similar colours and similar lines....
