Aubreyy

My room is about 13 by 14 feet. It is tiny and there is very little room. Can you help me with some ideas for :
-making space so my room isent cramped
-sleep(dahhh)
-makeuup. hair station xD
-dresser....

also can you think of anything unique i could do for the walls

my fave colors are yellow blue and black
hellppp please D:

Answer
You can make more room by getting a bed that has storage space built in underneath it(like drawers built into the bed!) or get crates to store stuff under your bed.

Examples of beds like this are:(you may can find them cheaper at walmart perhaps)

Bed sets like these reduce the space taken up by having storage built into the bed instead of tons of dressers

Vanities like this will go nice with the little space youre working with:

Here are beds at walmart that are like the ones listed above but MUCH cheaper!:

How do I set up a small room with not much space in it?

ss

should include a queens bed, a tv , nigtstands

Answer
Well, there isn't much information here. I assume it is a bedroom? It is hard to tell how it should be set up without the dimensions or at least the shape of the room. Since I am not sure all of the details, my first suggestion would be to avoid angles. In other words, don't angle any of the larger furniture into a corner. Sometimes it can provide interest in a room; however, if the room is quite small, it can end up using too much space and making the room feel crowded or even confusing - as if the piece doesn't belong. I would also invest in a good sized mirror(s) which will create an illusion of a larger room. Some people feel that lighter paint can create an illusion of a larger space - I don't think that is so common anymore. I would try looking at hgtv.com, marthastewart.com, realsimple.com, or other websites that can offer some suggestions on how to create your space. You'll want to draw the eye upward towards the celing, which again, creates the illusion that the room is larger than it actually is. You can do this with mirrors or paintings, or paint. Maybe even try looking at different magazines for ideas? I also visit furniture stores or even model homes for the latest ideas. Maybe try making it warm, cozy, and intimate? Take advantage of the small space, and most importantly, be creative and put your personality into it. Good luck and have fun!

Small Spare Room Ideas? Man Cave Vs. Guest Room?

samanthaco

My husband and I are moving into a 2 bedroom apartment. The second bedroom is very tiny. We need that space to be very functional (i.e. guest room, and man cave) We've decided that Hubby can use that room for his "man cave" but I would really like a guest bedroom. We are college students so money is a little tight. I need ideas! Help!
P.S. Hubby hates futons. pictures would be great!
Thank Ya'll!
We are going to put a desk in the Master so we aren't in need of a desk. but thank you for the idea.

Answer
the best way to make the small bedroom a multipurpose place is by getting a nice bright colored carpet with it, with matching set of curtains and add lots of throw cuhsions and pillows that can be used either as man cave, a spare bedroom or anything you like, even a study where you can study in piece relaxing on the carpet,

if you want, you can add a mattress or some other bedding to lie on the floor which will keep the space intact and will not cramp the room, installing the bed means that you will be short of space and there will be no room left to walk to seat the guests, decorate the room by hanging some nice wall hangings or anything you like and leave the floor like that with nice carpet and throw pillows to accommodate more people

Organization for bedroom!?

My room is always messy I was wondering are their any small but cute organization totes or stuff like that? I really don't have much space and my room is light blue with a yellow bedroom set and accents of black. I want stuff for makeup, hair, office/school supplies...ect. ect

How to make my bedroom lighter?

Sigh, Yea

I have a small room, and I picked the color when I was, bad idea. I picked dark red, I like red, and don't get me wrong, I like my bedroom, it's a nice bedroom even though it's small. But I think the dark red is too much. I want my room to be lighter, I asked my dad but he said in about 2 more years he'll repaint it so. I want more light colors in my room since most of them are dark. I have white doors, and a bedding, but compared to everything else, that really isn't enough. I have brown bedroom set and light wood flooring. What should I get it to appear more lighter than it already is? Should I add more white? I have a red, brown, white, a pink colored room.
Also in the future when my room is re painted again, I'm thinking of an off white. Would that be a good choice? Also what theme should I have? Like some teens have a beach theme, or stuff like that. Also how can I make the room seem bigger, it's actually a not too terribly small, but all my furniture left it even smaller than it already is. Should I rearrange furniture? Oh, and I don't have alot of money, since I don't want to ask my parents for too much money since they're already paying for guitar lessons, and it's a bit costy, but I do have money saved up, like $50 or more or something like that. (I'm only 13).

Answer
You are on the right path. Add white where ever you can. Include a lot of lighting so you won't feel like your room is in a cave.
Thisamp should be hung from the ceiling. You must ask for help to put this up :http://www.lowes.com/pd_129531-41309-13200_4294687723__?productId=3820311&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1%26page%3D1&facetInfo=
You can also hang some paper lanterns http://www.lunabazaar.com/paper-lanterns.aspx?gclid=CNrNhdXK3boCFS4aOgodMUgAJg
Enjoy decorating.

Where to get a good bedroom set?

Fitch

I'm a teenage, and I have outgrown my old bunk-bed kid room...anyway, I was wondering where a good place to look for a new bedroom set teenage friendly. Know any names of some good companies. Higher quality than Art-Van but a little more cost friendly then Ethan Ellen.

Answer
Jcpenny catalog or on line has nice bedroom stuff. I usually get my bed sheet sets at target and i like the furniture rooms to go has.

do a Google search or look and see in the classified ads for sales. Moving sales are great. Most people that move dont wanna take there old stuff either because there moving in a smaller place or want a new set for there new house

Check your directory for local furniture stores.

most good deals you can find online even amazon.com has furniture

good luck finding what you want
