Im going to Manhattan exactly next week and i need to find a room for four , and i need it for 3 nights.
My budget for the three nights is up to $700!!
Any help is much appreciated!!

Answer
A room for four can be pricey and you also have to account for taxes and fees which are well above the usual sales tax rate, so your actual budget is closer to $200 a night. Hotels also charge extra per person after 2 (if they are considered adults), so even if you find a standard room, your rate will go up. You can try to get a suite, but they're probably out of your budget. You can find suites and apartment style accommodations here: http://www.hotel-alternatives.com . They offer one and two bedrooms or suites with a queen bed and pull out sofa.

You'll probably find something in your budget, just make sure you do a quick search to check the area and read any reviews, as you get what you pay for. What good is a room for $100 if it's infested with bedbugs or in a seedy part of Manhattan? You may also want to consider staying outside Manhattan and getting 2 standard rooms. For example - you can stay in Queens and only be 15-30 minutes away by subway. You can search hotels throughout the New York City area here: http://www.nycvacationstays.com/hotels.htm

As a last resort, you may also want to consider renting an apartment on Craigslist, BUT - be warned that the majority of listings are scams, so do your homework and never wire a deposit! Google the name, address, phone and email of anyone you correspond with and if you see an apartment listed for under $150/night (there are some listed as low as $50-60/night) don't bother - it's a scam! http://newyork.craigslist.org/vac/ Again, don't be tempted by the low prices and pretty pictures! Most of the photos are apartments or houses from other states.

Good luck!

IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA, WHICH HOTEL IS BETTER?

Between Home wood Suites by Hilton Orlando (Nearest to Universal Studios) and Hilton Walt Disney World Resort which offers more benefits. I get the same rate in both, so I want to know what is best for 7 days to enjoy the amusement parks of Orlando, without renting a car.

Answer
Depending on what you are planning to do more of. Are you going to Florida to mostly visit Universal, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld, Aquatica, Bush Gardens then you would be better staying at the hotel near Universal. If you are planning on doing all the Disney parks and some of the other then stay at the Disney world one. As the others said you will get the magic hours at the Disney resort. I stayed at homewood suites Universal in April and really enjoyed myself. I am not sure about the other hotel and the size of there rooms, but the homewwod suites have a bedroom with 2 queen size beds and a double pull out in the living room. As well as a kitchen table full refrigerator and microwave. There was also a full desk in the room that should have not been there. So you felt very cramped with 4 people in the room. The staff were very friendly and willing to help you in any way. As for the shuttles they provided free shuttles to Seaworld, Universal, Aquatica, Wet n wild (though it was across the street and you could walk to it). Some of the guests staying there were going to seaworld to pick up a shuttle to Disney, You will have to call to find out more about that. Was not able to get much information (since I really did not try). The sales booth is open from 7am to 11am so I would call at that time.
