Second floor dip in middle of room?

This year I have moved into an apartment complex for school. The apartment is built around 1980, and my apartment is on the second floor(2 stories total). This is in southern Texas, College Station to be exact. Immediately upon entering, I noticed that there is a dip in one of the bedroom towards the middle of the room. By moving my feet along the dip, I can sort of feel the "edge" of where it's broken. (Room is carpeted)
I asked the management to fix it before I move all my stuff into the room, and they apparently have fixed it. I no longer feel the dip when I initially walked on it. I did not see how they fixed it, but they assured me that there are plenty of flooring below what's broken.
After about 2 weeks, with my bed on a bed frame placed in the room, I can feel that the dip is back. At around the exact same spot that was fixed. (Seems like the repair cannot hold up the weight of the bed) This time, it feels like there are a lot more "edges" to the dip, as I move my feet, I can feel a few gaps between what seems to be panels. The floor does not make any sound or feel spongy when I walk on it. It simply just dips.
Since now with all my furniture in the room, especially the queen size mattress, it will be extremely difficult to peel back the carpet again.

My question is, normally how are the structures set up for an apartment building in the late 1970 early 1980s? What exactly is between me, and the ceiling of first floor? Is this just an annoyance instead of a safety issue? What may actually be broken here? I peeled back the carpet near a wall(they were not tight after they peeled back the carpet last time to fix the floor), and under the carpet I saw what seems to be concrete? (Just gray colored floor, did not see any connections, maybe I did not peel back enough due to furniture on top) They have replaced the carpet in my entire apartment before I moved in, so I'm sure they saw the issue before installing new carpets. I'm I right to assume that it's just not a serious problem? Since the room is pretty packed now, moving all the furniture around could be a hassle. So could someone tell me if the management is just being reluctant on fixing a serious/expensive issue or is it truly just some annoyance to be expected in an old building?

Thanks.

Answer
It is an annoyance. There are floor joist, and probably two layers of some sort of wood material below your carpet. You will not fall through the ceiling. Concentrate on your studies.

How can I re-decorate my room for not much money...?

I'm 14, and want something quite grown up. Here's what I want
*laminate flooring
*painted walls
*New bed (single or small double)
*New curtains
*new wardrobe with drawers
*large rug.

How much could I re-decorate my room for?
