Parents, would you spend this much on a cottage for a vacation? Is it worth it?

They're in Cavendish (central) Prince Edward Island, Canada. They have 3 bedrooms (2 with queens and one with a bunk bed), a living room, a kitchen, a wrap around deck with a view of the ocean, and a bathroom with a tub and a shower. The cottage comes loaded with common household appliance, utensils, dishes, towels, and soaps. It has a BBQ, lawn chairs, and a picnic table. It's in the National Park, and is 150 yards away from the white sandy beach. It's a 5 minute walk to golf courses, amusement and water parks, Anne Of Green Gables house, the shopping center, restaurants, Ripleys Believe It Or Not, a wax museum, and a coffee shop. They charge 215 dollars a night. Is this over priced?

This summer, me (13), my parents, a friend of mine, and some other family members are renting cottages in PEI. This one would be for me, my friend, my parents, and my aunt and uncle. We would be paying 150 of it nightly, for three nights. Plus, we will be going to a waterpark and amusement park, shopping, and golfing, which will greatly add to the expense. Would you pay this much for a family getaway, parents?

Answer
PEI is surrounded by the ocean, and has many great beaches (most red though - not white - as their soil is all red coloured out there). Personally I've been to PEI a number of times and know the island is quite small, so if you're willing to do a bit of driving, you could easily save yourself a lot of money by looking outside of the immediate tourist areas and still get the amenities you want within a 30-45 minute drive or less (but still on a beach). Means you'd need a lift to go do anything, but lounging on the beach is one of the best things to do in PEI anyway.
