I'm trying to redo my room and make it look more mature. i'm almost 18 and i feel like my room is too plain and boring. i can't really spend any money at all and i can't paint my walls. The wall are white. i have this bed spread: http://product-images.imshopping.com/product/room-essentials-floral-comforter-set-purple-full-queen-large.jpg i have a butterfly chair and a foot stool to match that. i have to fairly large shelves hanging that has glass figures, flowers, pictures, and trpohies on.my dresser has a lot of hair/make up items on it. The wall have a nickelback poster, robert pattinson posters, a body mirror, a cork/dry erase board, my name spelled out in wooden letters, and varsity awards/letters. I have three huuuge windows over 5 feet high and they all have window seats. one have my tv and twilight books, another has a couple pictures of me and my bf, and the other has two stuffed animals.

Removing the posters would be a good start.
If posters are framed they could work, for example posters from art galleries featuring an artist you really like or posters that are vintage collectibles of some sort or as long as they compliment each other and the colors work. Never use tape or tacks on your walls. Use frames
( You could always find stuff at yard sales like framed pictures, lamps, boxes, pillows, rugs, and just about anything and occasionally get lucky finding items put out on the curb to be thrown away..check craigslist for free stuff too.)
Your varsity awards and letters could be arranged and framed.
Put away the makeup and grooming products or at least arrange them in a clever way like a wicker basket or decorative box .
Window seats are beautiful with a cushion and pillows.
Plants always add warmth to a room and since your room is white , you can always alter the ambiance with different lighting.
While your at the library look at some of the magazines and you'll get some creative ideas using things you already have.
