I'm thinking about redecorating my bedroom, but I'm unsure what colour to do it. I'm 16, and I share the room with my 21 year old sister, the room is currently light pink, but we both feel it's too babyish. I like the idea of having three walls one colour, and the other wall a darker colour - but we don't know what colors to use!

Answer
Since you are sick of the pink, I'd suggest you use a light icy blue or aqua on the walls and choose some great comforters in brown. First choose those and then pick an accent color from them to paint.
Here are some cool ones that look like they might work for both of you:

If you have separate beds, buy two of this comforter and one of you use one side of it and one the other.

Celery green, blue and white also make a calm, relaxing room:

Be sure to mix and match prints and patterns. If you choose a fairly plain comforter, get polka dots or striped draperies. Don't buy an entire set of bedding, so that everything looks unoriginal. Experiement.
Paint one wall a warm mocha shade and the other three a color from your comforter (teal, celery) or mix them up like this one:

You could also use the same color for all the walls, but choose a darker shade of that color for the wall behind the bed. This makes a more subtle look to the walls. I also like when curtains and draperies match the color of the walls. It makes the walls look seamless and the room appear more open.
Good luck and hope this helped!

What is a good bedroom set (not furniture- bed covers and such) for an 18 year old girl?

I want to get a less childish one than I have now, but I don't want one that is too adult-ish. I don't want it to look like it could belong to my parents.

I don't know your style or favorite colors, but I'll suggest some that I like and hope you do too!

(I'd use light blue, pink, lime or purple accents with this....not yellow!)
