How much would it cost to build a cabin?
Q. I was planning on building a cabin about 20 acres from the main road. How much would it cost to put in septic and electric (possiblly solar panels) and to build two bedroom one bath small cabin with log siding.

Depending on where you are a septic system would be 3500 to 5000 dollars. Electric service depends on how close you are to existing power lines and whether additional poles need to be set. Less than a thousand for service and meter if the wires are close. Keep in mind that before power can be attached to the cabin, it has to be wired and inspected by the county building inspector. A simple cabin with few luxuries can be built in most parts of the country for $50-75 a square foot. Good luck!
